In 1993, I was in my first full year in New Orleans and trying desperately to take pictures like Anton Corbijn (Achtung Baby, the album whose cover inspired me so much as a photographer, was released just over a year earlier) Thankfully, my friend Jennifer Paulin was game for driving around The Crescent City for a few shoots.
I still really like the results; while noooowhere near Mr. Corbijn's work, I like to nod at myself and think, "not bad." These shoots with Jennifer were also my first shoots with real people as opposed to the G.I.Joe and Transformer toys my shoots had consisted of.
